Hi, I’m Chris, a BACP-registered counsellor offering therapy in Stroud and online.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Therapeutic Practice from the University of South Wales and I’m a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy member.

I use a pluralistic and integrative approach to therapy, which means I draw from different therapeutic models and work collaboratively with you.

I offer face-to-face, online, telephone and walk-and-talk sessions.

No person is the same

Everyone’s experiences, needs and goals are different – and different people will benefit from different types of therapy. So, our work together is flexible and I am responsive to your needs.

Although I offer counselling for a range of issues, I specialise in addiction, grief, loss and support through major life changes.

Everything I do is grounded in research and evidence-based therapeutic practice – as well as compassionate, person-centred care.

I support people experiencing:

  • Anxiety
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Low mood
  • Feeling stuck or overwhelmed
  • Grief and bereavement
  • Loss in other forms – relationship breakups, identity changes, life transitions
  • Those who are terminally ill
  • Families and carers of those who are terminally ill
  • Addiction and recovery

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step

Many people spend months – sometimes years – thinking about counselling before making contact. You might feel unsure about what to say or whether your problem is “serious enough”.

Those feelings are completely normal.

If you’re here considering therapy, you’ve already taken an important step. Seeking support takes courage, and it’s something to acknowledge.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Often the first step is simply beginning the conversation.
